About

With over 30 years of experience as a Professional Agrologist and Consultant and over 20 years as a rancher, Tim Ross has a wealth of education, experience, and deep personal connection to his work to draw on to successfully develop custom solutions for any piece of land.

Born in rural Ontario and raised in the horse racing, feed, and seed business, Tim attended the University of Guelph where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture. After completing his degree, he headed west to obtain his Master of Science at the University of British Columbia, and to begin his own career in the feed and seed industry – a role strongly weighted towards advisement and consultation.

In addition to his university degrees, Tim is a certified BC Environmental Farm Planning Advisor and a designated Inspector with the BC Agriculture Wildlife Program, further demonstrating his capabilities as a highly educated and experienced professional with a broad range of knowledge and skills developed over a lifetime.

Tim began his consulting career and founded Ross Range and Reclamation Services in 1990 and has since worked on a huge variety of diverse projects with an unwavering commitment to an impeccable service level for his clients.

Tim has also proudly served a number of industry organizations as a volunteer, including the International Society for Range Management.

Currently the President of Pacific Northwest Region, and formerly the President of BC Chapter, through his work with the International Society for Range Management, Tim was the 2021 Trail Boss Award recipient (Pacific Northwest Section). The Trail Boss Award is the highest award presented to give recognition to those individuals, partners or formal groups for outstanding work or activities contributing to better understanding, use, or development of range resources of the Pacific Northwest. The Trail Boss Award typically recognizes sustained or long-term accomplishments and/or contributions to range or achievements of a very substantive nature.

Tim is also proud to be a registered member of the BC Institute of Agrologists, an organization dedicated to regulating the profession of agrology in British Columbia and to protecting the public by ensuring its safe, competent, and ethical practice. Since 2002, Tim has raised his own cattle in Wycliffe BC, working the land himself while also developing a successful career as a professional musician. At any given time, if he’s not out on a piece of land, he’s very likely involving himself in his community or helping a neighbor.
